116 - Weather & Seasons

October is here! We opened our third facility in Cascade Locks this month. What a busy month this was. October was all about weather and seasons, the topics we learned about include; Weather, seasons, changes and storms! The last week of the month we did some fun Halloween crafts. Along with those things we learned about the color Orange, the numbers 3 & 4, the letters C & D and the feeling/ action of Helpfulness! We had big kids join us at the new facility when school was closed, we painted suns and made rain sticks, the babies played with their felt boards that show each season and had tons of sensory play. There was plenty of falling leaf pile play and our first taste of steady rain. The wet season is here! We painted pumpkins, dressed up for Halloween and had a float in the Parkdale Pumpkin Parade. Surprisingly we made it in the news paper twice with a pumpkin parade feature and a fabulous article highlighting our new Cascade Locks opening and sharing our story behind Kiddie City. What a month to remember!
